Profile

About

Mozim is co-founder of Himalayan Ibex and the person who sits longest with a map, a weather window and a guest’s actual ability. Raised in Kashmir’s high country, he turned an early love of backcountry travel into the work of designing expeditions: when to acclimatise, which road day is too long, where a ski group should be when the gondola wind holds.

He is a seasoned backcountry skier and trek leader. His craft is high-altitude route navigation, risk mitigation, and custom itineraries for technical terrain. Career highlights include pioneering freeride descents and community ski workshops across Khardung La (17,582 ft) — the old Silk Route crossing into Nubra — and Wari La. Those high Ladakh days sit alongside the Gulmarg winter that most guests come for.

On the website he is the adventure specialist for skiing and trekking. In the field he is the one who will change a plan because the mountain asked for it. When he is not mapping a new line, he is carving alpine powder. The mountains are not a brand story for Mozim. They are the job and the joy in the same breath.
